Guarazoca

Guarazoca, located eight kilometres from Valverde del Hierro, is a small town with well-preserved cube-shaped houses with roofs topped with cereal straw. This area has flourished thanks to the upsurge in rural tourism. Also, in the surrounding area you will find a large number of rental houses where to enjoy a well-deserved break. The nearby natural reserve of Gorreta and Salmor cliffs is also a place to visit. And if you are interested in gastronomy, the town also preserves ancient wine presses, artefacts of historical interest. Here sits the Ermita de la Peña hermitage, the virgin that gave its name to the Mirador de La Peña. Fruit crops, cereals, potato plantations, as well as cattle and goat farming are still active in this area.
