St. Joseph’s Chapel

This chapel is located on the upper side of the village of El Estanquillo, within El Verdellito, and its foundation dates from the 20th century. From this spot, visitors can have a unique view of Valle Alto and of Los Roques de San Pedro. The religious building, which has also a square, was built out of the determination and hard work of El Estanquillo citizens. The chapel is surrounded by palm trees and terraces. St. Joseph, the locality’s patron saint, is accompanied by The Virgin Shepherdess. The local festivities take place every year on March 19^th, with a procession all around the village.
